Austin Tenants’ Council

The Austin Tenants’ Council (ATC) has forms on it’s website, www.housing-rights.org, for several landlord-tenant issues, including:
  • Deposit Refund Letter
  • Security Deposit Demand Letter
  • Self-Help Repair Packet
  • Unlawful Seizure of Property
  • Lockout
  • Renting Together Contract (for roommate situations)
The site also has a lot of information on common landlord-tenant issues.

Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs has housing forms for specific problems and persons. Visit their website at http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/index.htm for the following forms:
  • For manufactured homes, click on Manufactured Homes, the red tab at the top of the home page for Advertisement Complaint form and Consumer Complaint form.
  • For converting contracts for deed into traditional mortgages for colonia residents, click on Programs, the red tab at the top of the home page, then click on colonias initiative for forms to convert contract for deed into traditional mortgages. Additional forms are under the Colonias Self-Help Program link on that page. A toll-free number is also available.

File a housing discrimination complaint online at http://www.hud.gov/complaints/housediscrim.cfm
