J. Chrys Dougherty Award
The J. Chrys Dougherty Award is presented annually to an individual volunteer for exemplary dedication and commitment to the principle of access to justice for all people regardless of income. The award is named for J. Chrys Dougherty, a private attorney and bar leader, whose efforts helped to build a strong working partnership between the Bar and legal services providers.

Joseph H. Hart Award
The Joseph H. Hart Award is presented annually to a law firm that has demonstrated the integrity and dedication to legal services to the poor exemplified by Mr. Hart throughout his legal and judicial career. The award alternates between large and small firms.

Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service Award
The Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service Award honors firms and attorneys volunteers who commit an extraordinary amount of time assisting the low-income clients of Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. The Covington Award hangs outside the District Judges’ Office on the third floor of the Travis County Courthouse throughout the year.
