CLE Training Seminars for Lawyers
As part of our mission, VLS offers training to prospective volunteers through regular CLE seminars. These seminars are designed to give attendees of any specialization the tools and information they need to provide high quality legal help to VLS clients.
Brown Bag Family Law Series Begins in January!
These training sessions are free for any attorney who volunteers for VLS or would like to begin volunteering. Participants will receive a one-hour CLE credit for each session. Topics will include the following:
- Travis County local rules and procedures
- Basic trial tips
- Involvement of institutional players in a divorce in Travis County
- Domestic violence and protective orders
- Proving specific family law substantive areas
- Role play of a family law hearing
