Overview
- VLS provided services to nearly 5,000 clients in 2010. Services ranged from advice-only to legal representation in court.
- Volunteer attorneys donated 17,220 hours of free legal services, valued at more than $4.5 million in uncharged legal fees.
- Total financial benefits to clients were more than $5 million. These benefits include costs avoided, lump sum awards and monthly benefits secured.
- Such benefits make a huge difference in the lives of our clients, 84% of whom earn below 125% of the Federal Poverty Level ($27,563 for a family of four)
